POSTER ART PRINT

To mark the premiere screening of the movie Lunar Tribute, we brought together the talents of Christian Calabro and Lorenz Bögli to produce this limited special edition poster. As a platform, we used original Philadelphia Inquirer 1969 news print from the day after the Apollo 11 moon landing.

The newspaper after priming it with black paint.

Christian, who created all of the art work for the film, painted each page with black primer on to which the central photo could be printed. This shows the exact moment at Charlie Duke’s home in Texas that Rob Lewis first held the original NASA photo taken by Charlie on the moon. Rob actually just shot it using his cell phone to capture the moment. The designers opted for a minimal approach with just the film title “Lunar Tribute” and a quote from Charlie to compliment this photo of a photo of a photo. There are however many small details to be seen in each of the 78 signed posters which were screen printed by Lorenz.

Christian Calabro created all the artwork for LUNAR TRIBUTE.

Lorenz Bögli made the white screenprint.

Christian numbered and signed all 78 posters.
